BJP holds meetings, listens public issues

SRINAGAR, Feb 12: BJP held its Working Committee meeting of Lal Chowk constituency at Athwajan in which Ashok Bhat district president of the party was the chief guest.
The local people also attended the meeting and some of the youth of the area joined the party on the occasion. The people said that keeping in view the work being executed by the BJP they consider it is really a people’s friendly party. Lateef Ahmed BJP leader and corporator on behalf of the people highlighted some issues. Ashok Bhat in his address assured them that all their grievances would be redressed on priority.
Other leaders who were present on the occasion were Syed Shujat Rizvi, Riyaz Ahmed Ganie, Mohd Abid Mir,Lateef Ahmed Mir etc.
Later Bhat visited Dal Mohalla and listened the grievances of house boat owners there. He assured them of fulfilling their demands on priority.
Meanwhile, residents of Hab Chinar met Ashok Bhat and demanded that their area be spared in demolition drive.
The residents sought his intervention in not undertaking the demolition drive in the area as the poor people live there.
Bhat, informed them that LG has already made it clear that poor will not be affected and he will take up their issue with concerned authorities.
