JKI pensioners demand pay arrears, leave salary

JAMMU, Feb 14: Jammu & Kashmir Industries Pensioners Welfare Association in a meeting at Srinagar today held under the chairmanship of Ghulam Nabi Bhat Khanyari discussed the issues of JKI Pensioners.
The meeting demanded immediate release of pay arrears and balance leave salary in favour of pensioners of JKI who have not received any installment yet.
They said over two years have elapsed but nothing has been done. The Association said that its representatives also met present MD and FA&CAO of JKI for release of pay arrears and leave salary but nothing has been done except the false assurances.
The Association appealed MD and FA&CAO JKI that the leave salary and Pay arrears of pensioners be released who are in old age and are facing many ailments as they have to purchase medicines and in some cases some of the pensioners have to the purchase life saving medicines, the meeting added.
