Two theft cases worked out

JAMMU, Feb 15: Police claimed on Wednesday that they have solved two theft cases and recovered stolen items worth Rs 1 lakh cash besides a stolen vehicle in Chinnore area of the Dsitrict.
A police spokesperson said that acting on the written complaint of one Romesh Kumar son of Krishan Lal of Sharika Vihar, Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu, a case under FIR number 381/21 under sections 379 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Domana while another FIR number 75/2023 was registered at Police Station Domana, regarding thefts of one Alto Car and 50 shuttering plates worth Rs 1 lakh.
Accordingly, he said, the special police teams constituted to probe the theft cases arrested one Shubham Sharma son of Subash Sharma of Raipur Domana, who during sustained questioning confessed that he stole 5 shuttering plates along with his associates identified as Mohammad Asgar son of Mohammad Akbar of Nardani, Bantallab and Vishal Jamwal son of Sudarshan Singh, both residents of Nardani, Bantallab, and sold the same to a scrap dealer who has been booked under section 411 IPC.
“Further investigations are on,” added the spokesperson.
