8 drug peddlers held with 38.7 gm heroin, 49k cash

JAMMU, Feb 15: Police in Jammu district claimed on Wednesday that they have arrested 8 drug peddlers and recovered from their possession 38.7 grams heroin and over 49000 in cash.
A police spokesperson said that 10 grams of heroin and Rs 49, 700 was recovered from three persons, Sahil Mehra @Muna of Nai Basti Jammu, Gurdev @Bila @Sonu of Sher Garh, Tehsil Gadigarh Jammu and Bachan Singh of Kool Klan, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu, 10.7 grams from two persons identified as Narinder Kumar alias Techi of Ward Number 8, RS Pura and Raj Kumar alias Johny of Ward Number 7 RS Pura and 18 grams of heroin from three persons identified as Shamma of Rangooda, Mohammad Kaalu of Palpad Rangooda, and Mustafa of Jagti, Nagrota.
Pertinently, the recoveries were made by police teams of Police Stations RS Pura, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, and Police Post Sidhra.
Cases under relevant sections of the NDPS Act have been registered at the concerned Police Stations and further investigations taken up.
