JAMMU, Feb 16: The protest of daily wagers of Irrigation and Flood Control Department (I&FC) here today at irrigation complex entered day 181.
The protesters raised slogans in favour of their demands and demanded implementation of regularization policy for regularizing the services of daily wagers in Jammu and Kashmir.
The protesting daily wagers told reporters that their financial condition is very poor due to which their families are suffering.
Leader of the protesters said that in a media report they came to know that Union Home Minister has instructed the J&K Lieutenant Governor to resolve the issue of daily wagers of J&K.
He said that when their issues are being looked after by the LG then what importance will be there for the BJP leaders for them here as the BJP has so far not even cleared it’s stand for these daily wagers.
“Earlier it was J&K Governor Jagmohan who did a lot here and now we expect much from the LG,” he maintained.
