JAMMU, Nov 7: Judicial Magistrate Ist Class Kathua, Renu Dogra today awarded simple imprisonment of two years to a driver namely Darvinder Singh, son of Sukhvinder Singh of Pathankot, whose rash and negligent driving had caused death of two persons.
According to police case, on March 10, 2006 a rashly and negligently driven Tata Sumo bearing registration No PB01-3557 hit a Maruti car bearing registration No PB02-9255 near village Barnoti. In the accident, two occupants of the car lost their lives.
After hearing Senior PO R P Singh appearing for the State, Judicial Magistrate Ist Class convicted the driver and awarded two years imprisonment.
