Yudhvir takes issues of evacuee property tenants with Custodian

JAMMU, Feb 17: J&K BJP vice president, Yudhvir Sethi today asserted that BJP is the only party to serve the people, meet the challenges faced by Jammu and Kashmir and make it a part of the country’s growth story.
Talking to reporters here, today he said that the party is committed to address the problems being faced by common masses in general and that of Jammu City in particular.
Yudhvir Sethi said that he raised the issue of Evacuee Property Tenant Welfare Society with Custodian Evacuee Property, Jammu, Ravinder Sharma and apprised him of the issues being faced by them. He also requested the Custodian to give ownership rights to the tenants who have occupied evacuee lands and houses for the last so many decades.
Earlier, a delegation of Evacuee Property Tenant Welfare Society (EPTWS) led by its president, Jyoti Vaid approached Yudhvir Sethi and apprised him the problems being faced by the evacuee property tenants due to rumor viral in the social media with regard to vacate the custodian houses in which the tenants are residing for the last so many decades. She said that there are over 25000 families residing in custodian property in Jammu city itself and most of them are in East constituency.
She expressed the hope that BJP will take their issues and help them overcome the problems they are facing for more than seven decades.
Sethi said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have many expectations with the BJP, which they genuinely feel alone can fulfill, given the grit, determination and resolve of the leadership. He said today Custodian Evacuee Property has clearly said that at present there was no such order to vacate the custodian property occupied by the tenants. The Custodian has also assured that nobody would harassed, Sethi said and requested him to renew their lease deeds so that these tenants would have a sigh of relief.
Senior BJP leaders Kuldeep Kandhari, general secretary Jammu, Parveen Kerni, Mandal president, BJP leader Hariom Sharma, Mazid Khan and Puneet Gupta accompanied the J&K BJP vice president. The Welfare Society members were present include Parvinder Kour, Ramesh Sudan, Sumit Chibber, Jahangir Butt, Shankey Sudan, Davinder Chib, Sushant Gupta, Rakesh Koushal, and Sunny Mahajan.
