Lakhanpur police rescues 28 bovine animals

Kathua, Nov 8: A police party of P/S Lakhanpur acting on specific information, laid down a naka at Jagatpur near Komal Paper Mill today and intercepted  two trucks bearing registration No. JK02AB-7409 driven by one Mohd. Sadiq  S/o Abdul Rahim R/o Kansi Patta Tehsil and District Reasi and another bearing number JK02AK-6741  driven by  one Mohd Saleem R/o Rangoora Bye Pass Jammu.
During checking of these trucks Police rescued 14   bovine animals  which were being transported in  the State illegally. A case FIR No. 123/2013 u/s  188 RPC, 3 PC Act   stands registered at P/S Lakhanpur. Driver of the truck  No, JK02AB-7409 namely Mohd Sadiq  S/o Ab. Rahim R/o Kansi Patta tehsil & district Reasi  has been arrested  by the Police however  driver of truck  No. JK02AK-6741 managed to escape from the spot.  A man hunt has been launched to arrest the escaped driver.
Police party of P/S Lakhanpur acting on specific information, laid down another naka at Maggar Khad near Bittu Crasher  and intercepted  two trucks bearing registration No. JK02AD-7209 driven by one Surjeet Kumar S/o Sat Paul R/o Tanda R.S Pura  and  PB06-F-7581 driven by Satta Masih S/o Kartar Masih  R/o Nawan Pind Low Garh Tehsil Dinanagar, District Gurdaspur.  On noticing the Police naka both the drivers stopped their trucks and managed to escape from the spot. During  search of the trucks Police rescued 14 bovine animals  which were being transported to the State illegally. A case FIR No. 124/2013 u/s  188 RPC, 3 PC Act stand  registered at P/S Lakhanpur. A man hunt has been launched to arrest the escaped drivers.
