Srinagar, Feb 20 : Police arrested seven persons, evading arrest for years altogether, in the last one month in Srinagar.
A Police spokesman said that the absconders have been arrested after strenuous efforts. He said that they are involved in heinous cases registered against them in different police stations of District Srinagar.
The arrestees include; Farooq Ahmad Bhaga son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Dalgate, Dr Arifat Jan wife of Tahir Gull, resident of Nigeen, Zameer Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad Shah resident of Panzoo Nowgam, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rehman resident of Jogilanker Rainawari Srinagar, Rashid Iqbal Malik son of Mohammad Iqbal resident of Check Narwa Banihal, Nazir Ahmad Shigun son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Firdousabad Batamalo, Mohammad Qasim Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Khag Beerwah and Aijaz Ahmad Gujree alias Tiger Abdul Rehman Jamia Mohalla Old Town Baramulla.
“The arrestees have been produced before the Courts for further action under law,” the police spokesman said.
