DODA, Feb 20: The 110 km long Batote-Kishtwar National Highway (NH) 1B was on Monday morning blocked near Thathri Petrol Pump due to massive landslides.
Authorities have stopped vehicular traffic on Batote-Kishtwar and thousands of passengers are stranded.
An official said that administration has started the restoration work but the vehicles carrying essential commodities as well as passengers remained stuck near Petrol Pump Thathri.
When contacted SDM Thathri, Athar Amin Zargar said they were trying to restore the road for traffic as soon as possible.
He said that on one side the traffic on Thatri-Doda has been opened for movement but immediately after that they had to close the road again as the landslide was not lifted completely from the road.
