POONCH, Feb 20: People from different areas of Tehsil Mandi have demanded one more branch in the area as they are suffering badly on daily basis.
Reports said that the main branch of J&K bank in Mandi deals with about 95000 account holders despite the transfer of many accounts to other branches and thousands of people when visit there including women, old age person, suffers badly due to rush.
As per the information, despite over burden there is a shortage of staff members in the bank which causes problem to customers.
Elected representatives and others including Shamim ul hassan Ansari, Mubasher Hussain, Fareed Ahmed said that they have already intimated concerned authorities but nobody is showing interest to redress this issue.
They have urged LG and Chairman J&K bank to sanction one more branch for proper Mandi town and install at least 3 ATMs to redress the issue of public.
