JAMMU, Feb 19: Three more families in Duksar hamlet of Dalwa area in Gool Sub-Division of Ramban district were today shifted to safer location after the land in the area there developed cracks and was put under risk zone.
Yesterday 13 residential structures of Duksar were badly damaged after a landslide hit the area and about 70 people were rendered homeless.
The slide had started on Friday.
When contacted Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool, Tanveer-ul-Majeed Wani said that three more families were today shifted to safer place well in advance to safeguard their lives.
He further said that a team of Geological Survey of India is arriving tomorrow to study the reasons for sliding in the area.
