Kisan Council accords reception to Radhay Sham Sharma

JAMMU, Nov 8: To mark the formal opening of the Kisan Council office in Jammu, an impressive function was organized wherein Vice-Chairman of the State Advisory Board for Development of Kisans, Radhay Sham Sharma was accorded a rousing reception.
Speaking on the occasion, Radhay Sham Sharma threw light on the functioning, goals and achievements of the Kisan Board. He apprised the farmers about Kisan Mela, which were conducted recently in Srinagar and informed that the Board was going to organize similar Mela and awareness camps in other places of the State in collaboration with the Agriculture and Allied Departments.
Mr Sharma asked the farmers to avail benefits of the Government schemes and informed that the Centre has agreed to implement the weather based Agriculture Insurance scheme in J&K State.
The Vice-Chairman said that he would soon take up with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah the issue of free of cost fertilizer and latest technology to the farmers.
Prominent among those, present on the occasion, included Rajesh Bittu, chairman of J&K Kisan Council, D P Khajuria, Gaurv Sharma, Raju Chowdhery, Dewan Khajuria, Kuldeep Lamber, Joginder Lal, Harbans Lal Sharma,, Dharam Vir Sharma, Suresh Kumar Sharma, Vikrant Dogra, S Kuldeep Singh, Satpal, Munshi Ram, Kuldeep Sharma, Balwant Singh, Surjeet Rampal, Hans Raj Chowdhary, Panchs and Sarpanchs from Jammu province.
The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Vikrant Dogra.
