NEW DELHI, Nov 9: Freight rates for nine tonne load improved by Rs.1,000 in the local truck transport market today following increased cargo movements against tight trucks position.
Transporters said insufficient position of trucks, triggered by increased cargo movements, mainly pushed up freights.
Delhi to Hyderabad, Vijaywada and Mumbai rates moved up by Rs.1000 each to Rs.53,000, Rs.56,000 and Rs.28,000. Rates to Banglore, Chennai and Kolkatta also went up by Rs.1000 each to Rs.61,000, Rs.63,000 and Rs.30,000.
