JAMMU, Feb 23: At least five vehicles were seized for illegal mining in Jammu District on Thursday, police said.
A police spokesperson said that two tractor trolleys were seized by a police team led by SHO Akhnoor Harjeet Singh, one by a police team led by SHO Gharota Inspector Joginder Singh Chib, one dumper by a team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Surinder Raina and one tractor trolley by a team led by incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal in their respective jurisdictions.
“The vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” said the spokesperson.
