JAMMU, Feb 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Government today directed all Administrative Secretaries to review performance of Prabhari Officers of their departments and ensure uploading of `Back To Village-IV’ (B2V4) reports.
“All Prabhari Officers nominated for the B2V4 programme shall upload the reports of the programme on web-based application developed by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj by February 28,” an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Commissioner/ Secretary Sanjeev Verma said.
“All Prabhari Officers nominated for fourth phase of Back to Village (B2V4) programme shall upload reports of the programme on web-based application developed by the Department for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj,” the order read.
This, as per the order, will be done for ensuring utilization of requisite date by various departments for planning process.
The Government has directed that the Prabhari Officers shall also chair the Panchayat level, inter-departmental meetings, during already prescribed first Monday of the month to secure Panchayat level convergence.
“All Administrative Secretaries shall review the performance of Prabhari Officers of their departments and also ensure uploading of Back to Village fourth phase reports on the application,” the General Administration Department order said.
It added that Directors/Joint Directors/Deputy Directors, Planning, posted in various departments of Civil Secretariat, shall be the Nodal Officers for monitoring updation of data on the application in respect of officers of their departments.
Fourth Phase of the Back To Village Programme was conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Government from October 27 to November 3, last year.
It was an initiative aiming to bridge the communication gap between the administration and citizens.
The principal objective of this programme was to strengthen the newly constituted Panchayats. Led by the District Commissioners, over 25,000 Government employees at all levels participated in the programme including 4,500 Gazetted Officers who were directly deployed to the Panchayats.
The administration reached the doorsteps of the people to register their grievances and address them promptly.
