RAJOURI, Feb 23: A strong protest was held in Rajouri town against JKUT Administration for imposing property tax.
The protest was led by Rajesh Gupta, Councillor ward number 7, Rajouri. A large number of locals also joined the protest and raised slogans against the government. They were demanding roll back of the decision to impose property tax.
They alleged that the government is taking anti-people decisions. It has demolished the houses of people and now imposing tax on them. Gupta said that such things were not acceptable. The protest was joined by civil society and other Councillors of Rajouri MC.
