JAMMU, Feb 23: The newly-elected office bearers of the Jammu University Officer’s Welfare Association (JUOWA), led by its President Dr Sumita Sharma, called on the Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof Umesh Rai in his office chamber.
In the maiden meeting, the JUOWA office bearers assured the Vice-Chancellor of their full cooperation and support in building the strength of the institution to face emerging challenges of the modern times so that in coming years it ranks among the best institutions of higher learning and research in the world.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the new team and said the confidence placed in the association by the officers of the university will help in furthering the cause of welfare of the university officers’ community.
He expressed optimism that the JUOWA would work in the larger interest of the institution.
Those present in the meeting were Dr Neeraj Sharma, Dr Saranpreet, Dr Pankaj Khajuria, Manoj Kumar, Dr Bharat Bhushan, Kuldeep Raj, Jeevan Singh, Sham Lal and Dr Rainoo Bhai.
