JAMMU, Feb 25: In a function organized at Govt. Women College Parade, Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti (RBPS) here today released two books ‘Moun Ki Aahatayn’ and ‘Yaadhon Ki Anugoonz’ written by eminent writer Shashi Padha.
Prof. R.D Sharma, Ex. Vice Chancellor of Jammu University was chief guest while Prof. Lalit Magotra presided over the function and Prof. S.P Saraswat was the guest of honour on this occasion.
In his address Prof. R.D Sharma said that Shashi Padha’s poems are a great insight of natural sounds and childhood memoirs.
Prof. Lalit Magotra complemented Shashi Padha for her concern for Dogri and regional cultural traditions that reflects in her Hindi and Dogri works.
Prof. S.P Sarswat, Principal of the host College also spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Aruna Sharma presented paper on Shashi Padha’s book ‘Yaadon Ki Anugoonz’ whereas Suman Paul presented her paper on ‘Moun Ki Aahhatayn.’
Sharing her views, Shashi Padha said that she is indebted to her native land and people who make her recall her childhood and it’s her duty if she reciprocates the same affection in penning down the traditions of this pious land.
Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, secretary RBPS Jammu delivered welcome address while Sanjay Samyal presented vote of thanks.
