Dulloo inaugurates integrated farming model at Bajalta

JAMMU, Feb 25: Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Agriculture Production Department (APD), Atal Dulloo, inaugurated a unique integrated farming model at Hunter’s Ranch, Bajalta, here today.
Dulloo also inaugurated Fan and Pad High-tech Polyhouse with soil less farming and a high density Kesar Mango orchard. He took a round of the Farm which is spread in more than 50 kanals.
The Financial Commissioner also gave a look to strawberry, biofloc fishing, cantaloupe melon and capsicum project, Murra breed buffalo and Karaknath poultry, all in one integrated farm.
Dr Uttam Singh, owner of the Farm, briefed the Financial Commissioner about ‘Fan and Pad High-tech Polyhouse’, which he said is the first one in the Union Territory, in which vegetables like broccoli, capsicum, cucumber etc will be grown with Israeli technique under control temperature. The Polyhouse, he said, is spread in 500 square meter area.
