JAMMU, Feb 25: Senior BJP leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor of Ward number 69, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa here today started deep drain work in Sainik Colony which will incur an estimated cost of Rs. 21.85 lakh.
The residents of Sainik Colony had visited the Councillor during last monsoon demanding construction of deep drains and culvert to prevent flood and water-logging in the colony around residential houses even on slight rainfall which becomes breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Speaking on the occasion Randhawa said, “I have tried to take developments to every nook and corner of my Ward and am doing my best to implement PM Modi’s slogan of reaching the last man in the line. The relentless support provided by Sainik Colony residents, BJP supporters and social workers give me energy to work for the residents of Sainik Colony.”
Inderjit Kour, Daljit Singh, Gajan Singh Dutta, Jasmeet Kour, Dapinder Dutta, Raj Kour, Amandeep, B.S Slathia, Gurdev Singh, K.K Gupta, B.C Mishra and Balram Singh Slathia were also present on the occasion.
