Sanjay Nehru inducted in IAAS

JAMMU, Feb 25: Sanjay Nehru, Senior Audit Officer in Principal Accountant General’s Office, J&K and son of the soil has been inducted into Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IAAS) by President of India.
An order to this effect was issued by the Principal Director (Personnel) in the office of Comptroller & Auditor General of India yesterday.
From Habbakadal, Srinagar, Sanjay Nehru is presently residing in Jammu. He has worked on various positions during his service career in the CAG Organisation of India.
According to Vir Ji Bhat, Senior Audit Officer, Nehru has been instrumental in preparing various audit reports which included reviews on Irrigation scheme, Chenani Hydroelectric Project, Mid Day Meals programme, construction of bridges (R&B), Geology & Mining, DDUGJY (PDD), Law & Order, Narcotics and Crime Control (Home Department). Besides, he recovered crores of rupees which were later included in the CAG of India’s reports. He is the first officer elevated/inducted into IAAS from J&K during last 15 years.
