BARAMULLA, Feb 25: The residents of Ward Number 4 Batang, Lagama, Uri in Baramulla district have demanded construction of link road in the area for which the funds to the tune of Rs 12.5 lakh have already been sanctioned by the Government.
The local residents including Tilak Raj, Des Raj, Ralu Kumar and Harji Lal said that despite the clearance by Revenue Department the R&B has failed to take up the construction of road due to which the local residents are facing many hardships.
They demanded starting of work on the road without further delay so that the problems of local people are eased.
The residents of the area have made an appeal to Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla in this regard seeking her immediate intervention in the matter.
