JAMMU, Feb 27: Rajinder Singh Parihar has been elected as president of Non Gazetted Forest Officers Association of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The election to the post of NGFOA president is held after every two years. The polling was held today wherein all employees of Forest department participated enthusiastically to elect head of the Association.
Results to the election were announced in Forest Complex, Dogra Hall Jammu this afternoon declaring Rajinder Singh Parihar by a thumping majority as new head of the prestigious Association.
Parihar after winning elections said that he takes pride to lead this prestigious association, with primary objective of giving voice to the genuine issues of all Non- Gazetted Forest employees of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that the association shall leave no stone unturned in projecting and getting redressed all genuine pending demands of Forest employees which include – reorganization of Forest department, implement career progression for non Gazetted employees, timely DPC and removal of pay anomalies.
