Free medical camp held at Ramkote

KATHUA, Nov 10: A free medical camp was organized at Primary Health Centre, Ramkote (Billawar) in the memory of late Pushpa Devi who was very kind hearted and sensitive to the needs of the poor people.
In her memory, her family organized a free medical camp in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, JK Medicity and the Rotary Club of Jammu city.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr Baljit Pathania, Director, Health Services at a small but impressive function. He appreciated the holding of such medical camps and also used this opportunity to address the problems being faced by the Primary Health Centre.
A team of renowned doctors from various fields like Cardiology (Dr Mohan Lal), CTVS (Dr Gurjit Sigh), Eye (Dr Naveen Mahajan), Chest diseases (Dr Rahul Gupta), skin (Dr Satgurdayal), medicine (Dr Vipin Gupta), general surgery (Dr Mohd. Riaz) and Gyanaeocology (Dr Lovleen) were available for free check up and consultation.
Logistic and managerial support was provided by JK Medicity. The camp was also attended by members of Rotary Club of Jammu city lead by Dr Gourav Vaid, President of the Club. Rotary Club of Jammu city not only provided free medicines to the poor patients but also educated needy patients about their schemes. More than one thousand patients availed the facility of free medical help. 46 X rays and many ECGs and free blood tests were also conducted at the camp. The Sarpanch, other Panchs of the area, prominent locals in general and poor patients in particular lauded the initiative of Durga Das Chapata and family in organizing this camp.
