SRINAGAR, Mar 2: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAP Automations India Private Limited, New Delhi to enhance Research and Development in the hybridization of Ultra Low Energy, Geothermal Heating & Cooling.
The MoU was signed between Director, NIT Srinagar Prof (Dr) Rakesh Sehgal and Arijit Ghosh, MD SAP Automations (I) Private Limited.
Institute’s Registrar Syed Kaiser Bukhari, In-charge Dean R&C and Dean FW Prof GA Harmein, Dean Academic Affairs Prof Shameem Ahmad Lone, Assistant Prof MED Dr Abhijit Dey, Dr Asadur Rahman, Assistant Prof, EED and Assistant Registrar (Legal) Mohammad Hazik among other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
As per the MoU, both organizations NIT Srinagar and SAP will have collaboration for enhancing Research and Development in the area hybridization of Ultra Low Energy Buildings combining with geothermal or aerothermal space conditioning and solar.
Prof (Dr) Rakesh Sehgal termed signing of this MoU with SAP Automations India as historic and stated that it will enhance R&D in hybridization of Ultra Low Energy. He said both institutions will share their respective facilities, resources and manpower.
On the occasion, Arijit Ghosh, said, “We are happy to sign this MoU between the two stakeholders and it will boost the mutual coordination. I am confident that this partnership will help us reach out desired results,” he said.
Prof Syed Kaiser Bukhari said NIT Srinagar and SAP Automations will work together to identify best research projects of mutual interest that could be financed from R&D funding agencies or Government from other agencies under their respective CSR programmes.
Dr Abhijit Dey and Dr Asadur Rahman will be the coordinators at NIT Srinagar. As per MoU, both institutions will collaborate to study, review and advice upon the design and development of hybridization of Ultra Low Energy Buildings combining with Geothermal or Aerothermal space conditioning, and coupled solar PV as primary RE, in an effort to correctly implement the technology in the country.
