JAMMU, Mar 2: Workers of Shiv Sena & Dogra Front (SS & DF) led by their president, Ashok Gupta here today organized a protest rally demanding immediate bulldozing of encroached land by bigwigs as part of the ongoing anti-encroachment drive.
Gupta said that none shall be spared no matter how big they are or at what level in bureaucracy they sit.
“The entire drive is under the supervision of LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta,” he maintained adding: “The land should be taken back from encroachers and the common man is very happy with this drive which has given a sense of governance in J&K.”
Gupta quoted the LG to say that 40 per cent people shall not be affected by the Property Tax and only those having land measuring more than 1000 sq. ft. have to pay it.
Ashish, Kalu, Bantu, Labba, Shanti, Suneeta, Sampuran, Abhishek and others were also present in the protest rally.
