Sir,
This is draw the attention of the Government towards frequent traffic snarls on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The road remains quite busy during these days as Secretariat has moved to Winter Capital Jammu.
Though everybody suffers due to these traffic jams, but most of the times, it is people residing along the Highway that suffer the most. Employees and the patients are the worst hit.
As traffic snarls occur frequently on the road, employees do not reach their offices well on time.
As a result, they are found absent from their duties or have to face the stern look of their officers.
Likewise, patients too face innumberable hazards while travelling to seek medicare in hospitals. It is hell on roads when there are rains or snow. Landslides and avlanches have become a permanent feature of this treacherous road. All these things contribute to chaos and confusion on the Highway. It is in this context that the concerned authorities are requested to keep the road clear by deploying more traffic personnel all along the road.
