DGPC refutes allegations of joining pol party by its head

JAMMU, Mar 3: District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC), Jammu today refuted the allegations being raised by some miscreants that its president, Ranjit Singh Tohra has joined a political party.
Addressing a press conference here today, DGP Jammu president Ranjit Singh Tohra, vice president Balvinder Singh, secretary Surjit Singh and members Harjit Singh and Gurmeet Singh stated that some miscreants are hell bent to degrade the image of elected members of DGPC Jammu by circulating and edited poster depicting the picture of DGPC president, Ranjit Singh Tohra, whoing wearing the symbol of one political party and giving the impression that he has joined the political party and leading the community in the wrong direction and telling the Sangat that whole of DGPC Jammu members have sit in the lap of some politicians which is totally wrong and malicious propaganda launched with some vested motive.
They further said that though there is no any such provision in the J&K Gurdwara Management and Religious Endowment Act 1973 which prohibits members of DGPC Jammu al party but as on date DGPC president, Jammu has not joined any political party and assured the Sikh Sangat that they shall put every effort sincerely to give their best for the better management of Gurdwaras and in resolving the Sikh issues.
The DGPC Jammu said that they are going to lodge an FIR against those who are trying to mislead the masses and hell bent upon to defame elected representatives through false propaganda.
