19 vehicles seized for illegal mining

JAMMU, Mar 4: Police claimed today that they have seized 19 vehicles for mining illegally in Jammu District on Saturday.
A police spokesperson said that seven vehicles were seized by Police Station Nagrota, three tractor trolleys by Police Station Domana, one by Police Station Bishnah, one tipper by Police Post Bathindi, one by Police Post Panjtirthi, three tractors by Police Post Phallain Mandal, two vehicles by Police Post Jourian and one tractor trolley by BPP Garkhal.
The recoveries were made by SHO Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh, SHO Domana Inspr Tilak Raj, SHO Bishnah Inspr Vikram Sharma, incharge Police Post Bathindi SI Shakil Ahmed, incharge Police Post Panjtirthi PSI Rahul Sharma, incharge Police Post Phallian Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, incharge Police Post Jourian PSI Karnail Singh Parihar and incharge Border Police Post Garkhal SI Rajinder Singh in their respective jurisdiction.
“The vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” the police spokesperson said.
