JAMMU, Nov 11: A Myanmar national was arrested while trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan from the International Border in forward area of Mangral in RS Pura sector last night.
Troops of 122 battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) observed suspicious movement of a person, who was trying to cross over to other side of International Border near Mangral Border Out Post in RS Pura belt last night, official sources said.
The accused, identified as Mohammad Zakiriya of Myanmar’s Munpora district, was arrested and was handed over to police for questioning, they said.
Police was questioning the Myanmar national to ascertain reasons behind his exfiltration to Pakistan and route taken by him to reach RS Pura sector of Jammu from Myanmar.
