2 killed by ambulance in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Mar 8: Two persons were killed as they were hit by a speedy ambulance in Parimpora area of Srinagar this morning.
An official said that during wee hours, an ambulance bearing Registration number JK02B-8302 hit two pedestrians near children hospital Bemina in Parimpora, leaving them critically injured.

Both the injured persons were rushed to SKIMS Hospital for treatment. However, the duo succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Ali Mohd Dar, 56, son of Ghulam Nabi Dar, resident of Nowpara Baramulla and Fayaz Ahmad Chopan, 48, son of Gulam Ahmad Chopian, resident of Hadipora Rafiabad.
A case was registered and the ambulance driver has been arrested.
