Theft case solved, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, Mar 8: Bahu Fort Police has claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering stolen items on his disclosure.
“Acting on a written complaint lodged at Police Station Bahu Fort by the Jashpaul Sharma, the priest of the Shiv Temple located in Sector 1-A Extension, Trikuta Nagar (Jammu) stating that some unknown thieves have committed theft in the Temple at the Shiv Temple near Marble Market, a case under FIR Number 75/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started,” a Police spokesman said.
He said during investigation, a team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO PS Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali and Head Constable Mohd Younis rounded up an accused namely Waqar Choudhary son of Noor Mohammad, resident of Choudhary Nad Rajouri (at present living at Kunjwani near Hotel Anuthm).
“During questioning, the accused confessed his involvement in the theft case and on his disclosure, stolen cash was recovered from his possession. Other than this, 6 smart phones, one laptop, 2 LEDs and one mixer/juicer was also recovered from his possession which he had stolen from Sanik Colony, Greater Kailash and Gangyal areas,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
