KISHTWAR, Mar 8: One person died and five others were injured here today after a van of Ecco make hit with a bus coming from the opposite direction in Padhyarna area on Kishtwar-Padder road.
Of the two injured who were critical and were referred to GMC Doda, one succumbed to his injuries.
As per Police the ill fated van bearing registration number JK17-5745 hit the bus bearing registration number JK17A-4412 coming from the opposite leaving the six persons travelling in the van injured who were immediately rushed to DH Kishtwar and from there after first aid the two critically injured Khalid Hussain, 23, son of Abbas, resident of Kiru Kishtwar and Mohd Shafi, son of Chidya, resident of Piyas Galhar were referred to GMC Doda for specialised treatment but Khalid succumbed to his injuries at GMC Doda.
The four other injured persons were being treated in DH Kishtwar and were stated to be out of danger till last reports.
They have been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Om Prakash, resident of Padhyarna; Mansoor Ahmad, son of Sajad, resident of Huller, Kishtwar; Mohd Nadeem, son of Mohd Najam, resident of UP and Ismail, son of Yeel Bakerwal, resident of Piyas.
