Snatching case solved, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, Mar 9: Police in Jammu’s RS Pura area claimed today that they have solved a snatching case by recovering two stolen motorcycles, 3 mobile phones, Rs 6000 cash and one sharp-edged weapon.
A police spokesperson said that a written complaint was lodged at Police Station RS Pura one by one Sunil Kumar son of Ashok Kumar of Bhour Chattha , Tehsil Satwari, District Jammu, stating therein that at Mokhey Pulli, some unidentified persons snatched his motorcycle, 3 mobile phones, and Rs 6000 cash.
Accordingly, he said, a case FIR number 41/2023 under Sections 341, 382, 34 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigations taken up.
After this, he further said that special police teams of Police Station RS Pura led by SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Singh assisted by SHO RS Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar, based on source-based information rounded up two suspects, Sunil Kumar of Old Satwari, Jammu and Akash Bhogal of Chakroi, Suchetgarh, Jammu for questioning.
“During sustained questioning, the suspects confessed their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, the stolen items including 2 motorcycles, 3 mobile phones and one sharp-edged weapons was recovered,” he said.
“Further investigations are on,” he said.
