Fake currency seized in Tral

TRAL, Nov 12: Police today arrested father-son duo and a woman in connection with running of a fake currency module at South Kashmir’s Tral town of Pulwama district.
Suhail Manzoor son of Manzoor Sofi of Balla, Tral deposited Rs 1.5 lakh currency notes at HDFC Bank in the town and they were found fake. The bank employees informed police, which arrested Suhail and his father.
Police after thorough investigations registered an FIR number 63/2013 in Police station Tral.
Superintendent of Police, Awantipora, Abdul Waheed told Excelsior that the police has seized the fake currency along with Suhail and his father, Manzoor Sofi. “The investigation is going on and we are collecting details from local police stations here to check whether there was any previous case registered against them or not,” the SP  said.
