SAMBA, Mar 10: President Municipal Committee Vijaypur Ganesh Sharma and the councillors have welcomed the implementation of property tax in the UT of J&K.
President MC Vijaypur has expressed gratitude to the Government and District administration for the move. A resolution in this regard was unanimously passed and signed by all the Councillors of the Municipal Committee Vijaypur.
The Committee members have unanimously expressed their gratitude to the district and Sub-divisional administration for the providing detailed insight of the various provisions of Property Tax.
The Committee in its resolution has said that the people-friendly property tax shall empower the Civic body and enable it to provide better services to the citizens.
Meanwhile, DC Samba Anuradha Gupta earlier had held various meetings with Councilors of ULBs and briefed on various provisions of the Property tax. She said the tax with certain exemptions shall be collected annually and kept with respective MCs for creating infrastructure and giving better services to the people of urban areas in Samba.
