Yudhvir appeals people to ensure drugs free society

JAMMU, Mar 11: Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir has emphasized upon the people to proactively work towards ensuring ‘Nasha Mukt’ society besides maintaining brotherhood and communal harmony at all costs.
The senior BJP leader who was addressing a religious congregation at Bandhi Rugura where he participated in the Urs Sharief Mubarak function along with the whole unit of party’s Scheduled Tribe (ST) Morcha. A large number of senior citizens and various Ulemas were present on the occasion.
Yudhvir Sethi emphasized upon maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood in the Jammu region while asserting that these are the hallmark of the City of Temples. He said that the Sufis and Saints have always preached brotherhood and harmony among the people irrespective of their faith and religious affiliations.
Yudhvir asserted that it is a result of the attitude of tolerance that Jammu is well known across the nation for maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood amidst diversities in religion and faiths. He added that in the current times when the anti national and anti-social elements are hell bent upon disturbing the communal fabric, it is essential for the people of Jammu not to be carried away by the provocative statements of such elements and maintain communal harmony at all costs.
While urging the people to spread the message of peace, tranquillity and righteousness, Yudhvir said that the drug abuse is an alarming issue which needs to be dealt with jointly. He said while the enforcement agencies are doing their job, it is necessary for the people to augment the Government’s efforts with their active participation. “We all need to jointly eradicate the drug menace keeping in mind that it ruins the life of the addict, his family and the society thus adversely affecting the future citizenry of the nation’’, he added.
Praying for ‘Nasha Mukt society’ and brotherhood at the Urs Mubarak, Yudhvir also complimented the organizers for making available all the facilities to devotees on the sacred occasion.
