KATHUA, Mar 11: The Aam Admi Party (AAP) has termed the recent decision of the Higher Education Department and JKPSC regarding the withdrawal of notifications and abolition of all posts as “unfortunate and anti-youth”.
In a statement, the party said that the withdrawal of all 397 posts of Assistant Professor Colleges referred to JKPSC by the Higher Education Department in various disciplines, along with the fee refund, has left many highly educated and qualified youth in despair.
“The recent circular issued by the Finance Department to abolish all posts except newly created posts remaining vacant for more than two years is another blow to the hopes of unemployed youths,” the party said.
The AAP appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha, Administrative Secretary Finance Department, General Administrative Department, and Principal Higher Education Department to withdraw all such orders and issue fresh notifications, giving unemployed youth hope for Government jobs.
The party also requested the LG administration to fill the vacant posts of +2 lecturers and teachers in SED to provide teaching staff in remote and far-flung areas on a contractual basis with a monthly honorarium until regular appointments are made.
