JAMMU, Mar 11: A delegation of Apni Party leaders called on Financial Commissioner, Jal Shakti Department, Shaleen Kabra and informed him about the water scarcity in TRT Jagti.
The deputation was led by State general secretary, Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya comprising of district vice president, Vaibhav Mattoo and provincial vice president, Youth Wing, Joginder Singh.
The deputation informed Shaleen Kabra about the difficulties being faced by Kashmiri Pandit migrants putting up at the TRT Nagrota.
“As the Summer season is approaching, the water scarcity at migrant camp TRT Nagrota will put the camp inmates to more hardships and further compound their problems. The Government should make alternative arrangements as well to ensure drinking water supply through water tankers, besides ensuring regular drinking water supply,” they said and highlighted various other issues of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
Kabra assured that he will look into the issue and accordingly necessary action will be taken to redress the problem.
