KATHUA, Nov 13: The inhabitants of Chak Dessa today held a protest demonstration over police inaction to arrest the persons behind assault of a youth.
As per reports, the residents of Chak Dessa led by Sarpanch Puran Chand and BSP leader Som Raj assembled outside District Police Office (DPO) and raised slogans against the Police Department.
The protesters alleged that the police have failed to arrest the culprits, who had assaulted a youth Joginder Kumar of Chak Dessa few days back.
They demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and in case they failed to do, people will intensify their protest.
According to the case registered at Marheen Police Post, some unknown persons have assaulted Joginder Kumar, resident of Chak Marheen few days back in the field.
The victim was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was under going treatment.
