Samba police solves 2 more theft cases, arrests 3 thieves

SAMBA, Mar 12: Samba police has solved two more theft cases, arrested three thieves and made recoveries of stolen items and cash.
Arrested thieves have been identified as Behari Lal, son of Chuni Lal of Jhalani Jammu, Mohit Gupta, son of Ashwani Gupta of Janipur, Colony Jammu and Vikas Sawhney, son of Amar Sawhney of Janipur Colony Jammu.
Two cases were registered at Police Station (PS), Samba through PP Mansar and PS Bari Brahmana have been worked out and four stolen batteries of vehicles worth rupees 45000 and cash rupees 10000 have been recovered.
The accused have been committing thefts in Samba, Udhampur and Jammu districts.
Arrests were made under the guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh by in charge PP Mansar, PSI Deepak Sharma and PSI, Shakti Singh under the supervision of SHO PS Samba, Rajeshwar Singh and SDPO Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that intensive drive against thieves has remained successful and police has arrested as many as 50 thieves in last two months and solved 25 theft cases with the recovery of stolen property worth lacs including cash. Investigations in all cases of thefts/burglary are being conducted thoroughly and properly.
