UDHAMPUR, Mar 13: A 25-year-old woman was founding hanging here in Sundla area of Majalta Tehsil in Udhampur District today, police said.
They said family members of Sushma Devi (25) wife of Shiv Dev Singh of Sundla, Majalta, spotted her hanging in her cattle shed and informed the police, who accordingly took the body into custody .
“After completing the medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her family members,” said a police spokesperson.
He said that inquest proceedings have been launched to ascertain the reason as to why the deceased woman took such an extreme step to end her life.
