JAMMU, Mar 13: Police claimed today that they have arrested two gamblers with stake money of Rs 30585 from City area.
A police spokesperson said that during patrolling duty, a police team received information regarding gambling in Paharian Mohalla, Jammu.
“Accordingly, a raid was conducted and two gamblers, identified as Manmohan Lal of Paharian Mohalla, and Anil Kumar Khurana of Basant Vihar, Tallab Tillo, Jammu, were arrested by a police team of Police Station City,” he said.
“The accused have been booked in a case under section 13 of the Gambling Act registered at Police Station City,” he further said, adding that police are investigating the matter further.
Pertinently, the police team of Police Station City was led by SDPO North, Sunil Kumar assisted by SHO City, Kunal Singh Jamwal and PSI Sharaj Ahmed.
