Control of CHC Langate given to GMC Handwara

Srinagar, Mar 14: The Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department today ordered designating CHC Langate as 50 bedded Associate Hospital of GMC Handwara.
The Government, in this regard, sanctioned the shifting of Administrative Control of CHC Langate from the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir to Government Medical College Handwara.
“The Hospital… shall serve as Referral Hospital/ Associated Hospital attached with the New Government Medical-College Handwara, being established in District Kupwara (Handwara) in the UT Qf J&K under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme ‘Establishment of New Medical Colleges attached with Existing District / Referral Hospitals’,”
The arrangement, H&ME said, shall continue till the 500 bedded Hospital at GMC Handwara is made operational.
