Shankaracharya visits Mendhar

POONCH, Mar 14: Govardhanpuri Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Adhokshajanand Dev Teerth Ji Maharaj 12 Jyotirlinga reached Mendhar area near the Line of Control during the Akhand Bharat Yatra of 52 pilgrimages, where hundreds of devotees sought his blessings.
Through his discourses at the Shiva temple in Mendhar, Jagadguru gave a message to the people to connect with their spirituality and culture, serve the nation, protect religion and serve their parents. While encouraging the soldiers of the country posted on the border, he said that we are proud of those who are deployed in the service of the country day and night, because of which we all are safe.
He also visited an Army camp in Mendhar where he met and blessed the soldiers. He was honoured by the soldiers.
Jagatguru Shankaryacharya is on a week-long tour of Jammu and Kashmir where he is meeting people living in border areas, also visiting various religious places and giving blessings to the people. On Wednesday he will visit Baba Budha Amarnath Ji shrine. Mahant Mahamandaleshwar Rameshwar Das Ji Maharaj of Jammu along with other sages are also accompanying Jagadguru.
