JAMMU, Mar 14: Continuing their ongoing agitation against hiring of a previously blacklisted company for conducting JKSSB recruitment exams, aspirants today gheraoed J&K BJP Chief Ravinder Raina when he was at PDD Office Gandhi Nagar Jammu for depositing his due arrears of the electricity charges.
Agitating aspirants were on one day Satyagraha today during which they got information that Ravinder Raina was at PDD Office after which they reached there in large numbers and gheraoed him.
Protesting youth apprised the BJP chief about their demands. They said that clause was changed by JKSSB on directions of the company after which Aptech was allowed to participate in the tendering process. They claimed evidence against Aptech Company compromising the crucial exams being conducted by it and said that in Leh and Varanasi, Aptech Exam Supervisor and Aptech City head were arrested recently. They told Ravinder Raina that recent exams conducted by Aptech were compromised in Panipat, Ambala, Amritsar, Patna, Aara, Leh, Muzaffar Nagar, Gaya, Varanasi, Hisar etc.
The aspirants said that enough evidences against Aptech were provided to JKSSB on 3rd March but despite that the Government was adamant to get the exams conducted by the tainted agency. “LG is seeking evidence from aspirants whereas this is the responsibility of Police and various intelligence agencies. We are not being instigated by politicians but are instigated by the torture of JKSSB and LG Administration which is compelling us to give our future into hands of a tainted company,” they said.
Ravinder Raina after listening to the protesters, assured them that he along with the aspirants will visit LG Manoj Sinha and apprise him about all this. Interestingly, Mr Raina made repeated telephone calls to the Raj Bhawan from the spot but there was no responde from the other end.
