AKHNOOR, Mar 14: Police claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler with 5 grams of heroin from Jourian area.
A police official said that Sameer Sharma alias Shekhu of Jourian was arrested by a police team of Police Post Jourian led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma assisted by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Harjeet Singh and Incharge Police Post Jourian PSI Karnail Singh Parihar at a naka placed at Jourian.
“The accused has been booked in case FIR number 87/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigations taken up,” he said.
