SRINAGAR, Mar 15: A delegation of Kashmir Electrical Employees & Workers Association (KEEWA) called on the Chief Engineer, Generation, Kashmir Division, Ghulam Rasool Khandey under the leadership of its president, Nazir Ahmed Magrey here, today.
The other members of KEEWA delegation included Manzoor Ahmed Rather, Mohammed Shaban Bhat, Mehraj-ud-Din, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Farooq Ahmed Khan, Abdul Majid Pakthoon, Mohammad Javed Shah and Mohammed Latif Mir. They submitted a memorandum to Chief Engineer highlighting the various demands of the employees.
The delegation, while welcoming the Chief Engineer after joining his new assignment discussed the various issues with him which included dearth of staff. Terming the dearth of the staff main problem, they demanded that the shortage be overcome so that the power plants will be run properly.
The delegation also urged him that attention be paid to power projects so that they function smoothly. CE assured the delegation that he will look into all the issues and no stone will be left unturned in settling them.
