POONCH, Mar 15: Four women were injured after they were hit by a speeding bike in Mendhar town of district Poonch today.
Sources said that four women were badly injured when a speeding bike hit them in front of the main gate of Jama Masjid in main market, Mendhar town on Wednesday. The mishap took place when the bike went out of control after stunt by the rider. He escaped from the spot after hitting the women in busy market. The people and the police took the injured women to the local hospital in an ambulance.
The injured have been identified as Begum Bi (68), wife of Mohd Sharif, resident of Kasbladi; Resham Bi (65), wife of Lal Hussain, resident of Ari, Naseema Bi (55), wife of Mohd Sadiq), residence of Gani and Shaheen Akhtar (50), wife of Mohd Jameel, a resident of Ari village in Mendhar.
Block Medical Officer Mendhar, Dr Parvez Ahmad Khan said that the injured women are being treated at Mendhar Sub-District Hospital and their condition is stable. A case has been registered in Mendhar Police Station in this connection.
